Fear has been labelled the most destructive and wide-spread disease known today. Fear causes anxiety. Anxiety causes stress. Stress causes disease and death. Fear can disable a person. Have you ever heard the phrase “frozen with fear”?
The word FEAR is described as a “stative verb”. Which means it describes a state of being, or condition of a subject. Such as thoughts, or opinions, possession, emotion, or senses. It is not an action word. Because, with fear, there is no action. People who fear the future, or fear the present, don’t pursue their goals because they don’t believe they are attainable, or that they do not deserve them. They see others accomplishing the VERY thing they want to do, and yet, they STILL don’t believe it’s doable, even though the evidence is right in front of their damn face.
What’s worse, is that most fear is caused by someone’s words. Someone else’s perception of the world, or you. Someone else’s judgement decides whether you move ahead or stay where you are today. REALLY?? How are they an authority on you? Did they create you? Did they put the idea in your head?
NO! Quit predicting the future. NOBODY….and I mean NOBODY on this earth knows what is going to happen tomorrow for sure. Not the news reporters. Not the pastor, or priest. Not the scholar with numerous college degrees. NOBODY!! So why are you believing what someone else thinks of you? Why are you believing predictions of the future, when they are not set in stone? Do you realize how much people would get done, if they didn’t have anybody around telling them they can’t do it? Critics offer NO VALUE to your life. NONE. Do yourself a favor and stop listening to what everybody else has to say about your dreams. YOUR dreams. YOUR goals. YOUR ideas. YOUR future.
Live your life by FAITH. Now, FAITH is an action word. It is an action of allegiance to duty, or a person. An action of fidelity to one’s promises. Sincerity of intentions. It is a belief in something which there is not proof. It is COMPLETE trust!
Having faith is having courage. The courage to believe in the unknown. The courage to believe that tomorrow can be better if you try and make it better. You have to ignore these nay-sayers and get out of your head, and into your life. Quit following their guidelines of what you should and should not do. People that spend all their time focusing on everyone else, never get anything done. They are so consumed with comparison, jealousy, and envy, that they forgot what it feels like to live their own life. These people are no role models. These people are dream killers. They have killed their own dream, so they want to make sure you do the same. They don’t want you to succeed, because that will mean you won’t need them in your life anymore. You’ll leave them in the dust of your success. Don’t be fooled by false “friendships.” People that seem to have your back, but secretly wish the worst for you.
Beware of the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The only way to conquer fear is to meet it head on. To acknowledge it. I want you to grab a piece of paper and write down everything that you “think” could go wrong, if you pursue your dream. Write it down. All the bad things that could happen, and all the reasons why you could never obtain your goal. When you acknowledge your fears, it puts you in control.
Now, I want you to write down everything that can go right. All the benefits you will gain, by getting to where you want to be in life. I want you to feel the self-respect. The bravery. The self-reliant feeling that you would have by finishing what you started. SOOOOO much better…right?
For every struggle you have in getting to where you want to go, there is a strategy to overcome and conquer. If you can solve a problem by an action, then it’s really not a problem. AT ALL!
So get out there and try again. Do it in private. Keep it to yourself, for fear of criticism. Do what ever it takes…JUST DO IT!
Faith will win every time. The power of the mind is a mystery. But we hold the power. The power to starve fear. The power to turn a deaf ear to negative media, and people. Quit feeding the devil. Start feeding your soul.
