New Beginnings? Or a Chance to Repeat.

Ahhhh. That time of year again. The time to take a hard look at what exists and what could be. We all contribute to the New Year’s expectation. We need to do more or less of something. Whatever that may be? We cannot continue with what is now. Or can we? What would be so awful about it? I mean, after all…we did survive this year doing it.

We all have negative vibes when it comes to routine. Nobody likes for things to remain the same. We all pick away at what we already have until it looks like nothing to write home about. We underrate our accomplishments and act like they aren’t a big deal. We compare our lives to others, that we may look up to, and see ourselves as needing improvement. Why is everything we want unobtainable? Even if we’ve already grasped it in our hands, we don’t see it as enough. There has to be more.

I say, let’s continue on the same path as we have during the present year, and see where that leads us. What if we just tweak it a smidgen, and not get carried away. Let’s make our lives easier and more liveable. Let’s relax more. Let’s be more self-praising. Let’s celebrate more. We are amazing. We are all doing the best we can with what is given us. We make decisions that involve the now. What we have to do at the moment. Sure, our decisions may not be what others would like them to be, but given the present situation…it had to be done. So why not celebrate our wanting what’s best for us. Who cares what others think is best. They are not us. They can do what is best for them.

Let’s make the year 2022 a year to celebrate us. Our decisions. Our lifestyles. Our individuality. Let’s quit comparing and start staring back at the image in the mirror. Let us fall in love with our life as we already know it. The comfy, safe, and somewhat boring and predictable wonderful life it is. We don’t always have to push the envelope in order to feel deserving of this life. We can bask in the warm sunlight of knowing where you are and where you stand, exactly where you are today.

I'm glad you stopped in to check it out! My purpose in creating this blog, is to give insight into how a positive outlook can overpower a negative life. It all starts with self-respect. I'm angry at myself for wasting so many years on things that weren't important in the end. Forgive yourself for doubting yourself. Work your mind. The mind gives power to the body. My hope is to help someone to believe in themselves again.
